Dewas industrial
area is located on national highway no. 3 (Agra-Bombay road)
just 35 kms. From the industrial city of Indore and 35
kms. From the historical and religious city of Ujjain. Dewas is
on the main railway line of Indore-Bhopal-Ujjain and is well

units in Dewas are Ranbaxy, Tata, S.Kumars, Gajra Gears,

industrialization of Dewas was started in 1970. Today the

Dewas. The government of India had presented Dewas with the
award “City of Export Excellence” in the year 2005. |

DEWAS
INDUSTRIAL WATER SUPPLY PROJECT |

This is the first
water supply project in the country which is being developed on
the BOT format. Dewas industrial
water supply project has been planned for supplying
approximately 1500 MLD water initially and thereon gradually
increasing up to 2300 MLD treated water for next 30 years. The
supply of water from the project is made available to
industries. |

The total cost of project is
approximately Rs. 80 crores and the water will be brought from
the Nemavar at Narmada which is about 128 km. from Dewas. The
company M/s. M.S.K. projects (india) Ltd. Braroda is suppling
water to the industries after treating it as per specification
of CPHEEO for drinking water. |

Industries of
Dewas has agreed to sign the advance water purchase agreement
with the selected developer and to ensure the recovery of the
water charges, MPSIDC will work as a regulator of the project. |
